Survive Mathematics!

These blog entry is for all the students who hate math just because they always get low grades in it. Here are some tips for you to survive and love math:

1. Don't be afraid of Mathematics.

2. You shall read, understand and analyze all math problems. Don't let math beat you. Beat math, answer all its problems with your very best.

3. At home, read your textbook, review your notes and most importantly, practice. Mathematics is not about memorizing all the formulas, it's about practicing to solve word problems.

4. During exam, look for problems that you feel good about to do first. Skip hard ones. Then if you already found it, read the problem carefully, pause, think for the best solution or strategy in finding the right answer.

5. Your answer must be reasonable (it must satisfy all the condition, rules, or theorems discussed by your professor). Review your solutions. You might be careless while solving.

6. If you get the final answer, it doesn't mean that you get the complete points. Show your complete solution.

7. Don't fall too far behind the class. If you don't understand the lesson, ask help from your classmates or from your professor. They will be always there to help you.

8. Review all the lessons before and after your math class. You must remember all the concepts. Review the step-by-step solution of your professor during discussion. And most importanly, don't forget important concepts.

9. Study well. Math won't harm you if you love and enjoy its concepts.

10. Lastly, and the most important, don't think that math is difficult. Things can turn out to be easy if you enjoy what you are doing. If you think that math is difficult, a waste of time, and unenjoyable, it will really turn out to be difficult.
